"... I bought my beautiful Feodora, a 4yo mare by Fürstenreich, from Joan Munday in January 2008. My friend had spotted Dora's video on the Elite Dressage website and, when I spoke to Joan, it became clear that Dora could be the horse I had been searching for. Joan was happy to chat in detail about the horse on the phone and described Dora as a talented mare with a super temperament and attitude to her work. I visited Joan's yard, watched Dora being ridden by my trainer, and then had a sit on her myself. She looked and felt amazing. I fell in love with her immediately and snapped her up! I found Joan extremely helpful and straightforward to deal with. She has been a mine of useful information about the horse, and has been happy for me to call her with any further queries. The mare has been exactly as described by Joan and has been greatly admired by all who see her. We are now looking forward to starting our competitive career in April. Joan will be my first port of call should I ever think about buying another dressage horse. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to buy a quality dressage horse."

"... I got in touch with Joan from Elite Dressage based on a recommendation from a friend. I had also looked at the website and thought it looked very professional with some lovely horses for sale. I then called Joan and we had a friendly chat on the phone regarding my requirements for a new horse. She immediately understood what I was looking for and had a couple of horses in mind, so we agreed on a date for me to go along. The day I went must have been one of the worst days in December in terms of weather. There was a howling gale, torrential rain and it was just above freezing ... we must have been quite mad! Mark rode out to the arena on Donni, a handsome 16.1 dark brown Hanoverian 4-y-o gelding. What impressed me the most was the fact that the little horse just put his head down and got on with his job without worrying about the weather at all! I popped on, by which time all feeling in my fingers had gone, so my half halts were probably pretty useless. However, Donni gave me a really nice feel, so much so I think Joan thought I wasn't going to get off!

Below is an extract from an e-mail received from his new owner, Philippa Tickle, who's clearly delighted with him and refers to him as 'Mr Wonderful'!

The photo to the left shows Philippa returning from a hack, which Donni loves and behaves like a 'riding school' horse!

"... I just thought you may like to know of his progress. As you said to me, he was a late developer and is just coming into his own and getting better all the time. He has qualified for Prelim Regionals on 72% and 74%, and has qualified for Novice Regionals, too, on 69% and 71%. He only did one Novice prior to that and was second. He is also qualified for the Hickstead Masters. We have taken his work slowly as he is still growing, filling out and strengthening up, so he has been hacking lots too. He is exactly as you described him, with a lovely, unspooky temperament. I always recommend you when people ask me where I found him!"
UPDATE:
"... Larry was 6th in the Novice R Freestyle at the Winter Nationals. I was very thrilled ... he does have the best brain for big events - I wish I was as chilled as him!"

"After searching for many months and throughout the UK, I eventually came across Elite Dressage. I spoke to Joan on the phone and described what I was looking for and Joan described 2 horses to me which sounded that they might fit my requirements. I travelled south from Scotland early one morning, stopping at many yards en route, only to be disappointed. I then arrived at Elite Dressage late one Friday evening to find 2 horses, immaculately turned out, and being warmed up by Tucker and Dawn. I knew that I was going to go home with one of them and, sure enough, I chose a beautiful 17hh Hanoverian gelding. He has been very much admired and we're looking forward to competing shortly, when he can show off his extravagant paces. I have not been disappointed with my purchase. On the day that Buddy arrived in Scotland, he had been bathed and groomed and was in immaculate condition. Joan and Tucker have been extremely helpful and have been happy to answer any queries or offer assistance in helping Buddy settle into his new environment. I found Elite Dressage to be completely professional and I would not hesitate in recommending them.."

"I've been absolutely delighted with Biskit. From first telephone call after seeing him advertised in 'Horse & Hound' through to their delivering him to his new home, Tucker and Joan were incredibly helpful. I was very out of practice with young horses, but Tucker was there to work with both Biskit and me to make sure that we 'got it together' as easily and quickly as possible. We've just done our first competition and I was thrilled to get 71% and first place - the judge loved him!"

"I found buying a horse from Elite Dressage an enjoyable experience. Having seen the advertisement in 'Horse & Hound', it was easy to arrange a viewing time. There were several horses to look at as well as the particular horse I had gone to see. The yard was well organised with a good arena to ride in. I was given plenty of time to ask questions. Once the purchase was agreed, Elite Dressage were most accommodating in helping to arrange the vetting and then delivering my horse to his new home. The horse is exactly as he was advertised and I am delighted with him."
UPDATE:
"Just to let you know how we are getting on. He has been to his first two shows and got 68%. He is so good - obviously a bit excited at the shows, but nothing too awful. I love him to bits!"

"Buying a horse from Elite Dressage was the best solution for us. We viewed a number of horses (after looking at details on their website) on one visit, saving us lots of wasted travelling time. The horses were beautifully presented and ridden, giving us ample time to view and ask questions. I was able to ride the horses I liked with my trainer, Bret Willson, and immediately settled on Salina as the perfect horse. Our purchase was completed quickly and easily, with Elite Dressage providing us with details of a local independent vet, arranging transport for vetting, X-rays, etc. Salina even arrived with an information pack containing not just the essential papers, but her routine, likes and dislikes. Salina has since been placed 5th at Royal Windsor International Show in the invitational International Young Dressage Horse class. She has exceeded all our expectations and is a pleasure and a privilege to be around! Many thanks to Joan, Tim and Tucker for producing such a fantastic horse."

We had a chat afterwards and a cup of tea by the Aga to warm up. I went home and had a look at the video which you could just about see through the misted, wet lens. Donni was so handsome and looked great! This was it I thought! I went back a week later with my trainer and we both realised what a special little horse he was. I think the decision was made! Donni was mine on 29 December 2007 and has been an absolute delight to ride and own. In fact he hasn't put a hoof wrong! He has certainly lived up to what Joan said about him with his fantastic temperament, which was something that was so important for me. I'm now looking forward to learning more with him and the start of our competitive career. I have to say that the whole experience of buying a horse from Joan was fantastic. Not only were the horses well produced and immaculately turned out each time I went, but the complete buying process was extremely well organised. I couldn't recommend Joan highly enough."

UPDATE:
"Out of 6 competitions entered, he's won 4, qualified for the Regionals and qualified for the Scottish championships. Now that he's affiliated he's attracting a lot of attention, partly due to the fact that he won both classes in his first affiliated competition. He's grown! His Albion Ultima has been adjusted twice now and the recent adjustment was widening the tree as he's become a lot stronger and his shoulders are much stronger now."

"Just to let you know how Divelto is doing. He is coming on well with his training. I have to admit it was a steep learning curve. I didn't quite appreciate just how laid back these warmbloods were. With help from Helen Lowe, my instructor, I've got to grips with him. He is the perfect amateur's horse as he is totally safe and non-spooky. We have been hacking over the hills and he accepts my dog coming with us. He is now used to sheep and cows and hacks through them (although he keeps an eye on the cows!). I even took him through the village in fairly heavy traffic (with a school master to block me in for safety). He didn't turn a hair. What is also so refreshing is that he's also great to school or hack in any weather, high winds, rain, hail stones, snow, etc. We often get caught in weather up here in the Peak District. All in all, a great horse, who is admired wherever we go. Hopefully we will be competing soon. There has been a slight delay on my part, but this autumn and winter is looking good. I keep an eye on your website and see who you have for sale as I would have no hesitation in buying from you again."

"I have had Carter now since February 2006 and we have done many competitions. He has already qualified for the Winter Semi-finals at Novice Open level and is now working at Elementary. We have got onto BYRDS National Training and we are training with Clive Halsall and Peter Storr. He has won nearly all of his competitions with over 70% each time. He is the best horse ever and I have no regrets in purchasing him. Joan and Tucker were fabulous to purchase horses from. They made it very simple and have been very supportive since I bought him. I would definitely do business with them again in the future."

"... "When I decided to purchase another horse, I had no hesitation in returning to Elite Dressage as I knew that I could trust the Mundays completely.  Joan has a superb eye for a horse and combined with Tucker's training, I knew I would find my dream horse here.  Sure enough, I was presented with Donna my 4 year old mare, who was immaculately presented, has fabulous conformation and was so balanced for a 4 year old.  She has a wonderful temperament and has turned out to be everything that was described to me.  Have just returned from 5 days' training with Tucker and we've come on leaps and bounds.  His skill in producing young horses is second to none.  It is also pleasing to see that all of their horses are allowed to be horses and all of them have time in the field too.  I have no hesitation in recommending Elite Dressage to any prospective buyer.""

"... " A big thanks to Joan and Tucker for helping me and Rubin get together.  Joan responded to my original "horse quest" email saying that Rubin sounded like he'd fit the bill.  He had been on the website as a youngster but the video didn't show him under saddle and Joan was very accommodating: at short notice she shot and put a video of him ridden on the web to allow me to see him before the trip South.  Rubin and I met after seeing several other horses and lots of miles!  I loved him straight away and he was exactly as described.  He passed the vet with flying colours and made the trip North like a pro.  He has settled in very well and is continuing his education.  He has been several trips in the trailer and takes everything in his stride.  We've had a few gentle hacks following schooling sessions too and he has been great (although we are still working

gradually on the river crossings.....)   In the arena he is fab.  Had an amazing ride on him yesterday and am really looking forward to riding again after a long time of anxiety in the saddle. Thank you!"
