Weltmeyer x Praefectus

SOLD

WELTMEYER • Hanoverian • 16.1hh • 1984 • Breeder: Hermann Meyer

There is nothing new to say about the great Weltmeyer! It has all been said before many times over, not just about him, but about many of his progeny. If you do need a reminder, though, please read on!

According to his breeder, Hermann Meyer (the ‘meyer’ in Weltmeyer), Weltmeyer was a sensation from the day he was born - and so it continued! He was champion of his licensing in Verden, where the judging committee awarded him the maximum score of 10 for his trot, a 9.5 for his canter and a further mark of 9.5 for conformation and overall impression. Weltmeyer went on to win his performance test at Adelheidsdorf with a dressage score of 143.94.

From his first season, Weltmeyer's progeny were inheriting his qualities - a colt from his first crop, Wittinger (out of a mare by Raphael) was champion of his licensing, and, like his sire, went on the following year to win the title at the Bundeschampionat, and his performance test. At the 1992 licensing, Wolkenstein II (out of a mare by Wendekreis) was reserve champion, and then won his performance test the following year, the year in which Wolkentanz won his licensing and went on to win at the Bundeschampionat, and stand reserve champion at his performance test.

This great stallion's influence on the dressage horse is inestimable.
